The vehicle will be part of the Puget Sound Region, Snohomish <br /> County Technical Rescue team. <br /> Funding is provided by Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management, Contract E11-149 as <br /> part of the US Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency Urban Area <br /> Security Initiative Program. <br /> The RFP was sent to 7 vendors,posted on City's website, and advertised in the Herald. Responses were <br /> received from H&W, General Fire Apparatus,Hughes Fire Equipment and KME. After evaluating the <br /> proposals staff is recommending an award to General Fire Apparatus as the most advantageous proposal. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Award RFP 2011-053 for Heavy Rescue Apparatus to general Fire Apparatus in the amount of$592,576.08 <br /> including WA State Sales Tax <br /> 15 <br />
