The Enterprise Agreement provides a streamlined method for ensuring that all of the City's <br /> desktop and laptop computers are in compliance with the most common Microsoft licensing requirements. <br /> The Enterprise Agreement supports the computer operating system, Office Pro (including Word,Excel, <br /> Access, Publisher and PowerPoint) as well as network,Exchange/e-mail, Systems Configuration <br /> Management, and Share Point client access licenses. This agreement also provides Software Assurance that <br /> allows upgrades to any of the covered licenses without additional cost. <br /> The recommendation is to renew the City's Microsoft Enterprise Agreement using the contract negotiated by <br /> the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES). The pricing offered in this contract is <br /> significantly better than the City could negotiate separately. This is a three-year contract renewal with <br /> annual payments of$234,552.72. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign a three-year Microsoft Enterprise Agreement for a total cost of$703,658.72, <br /> including WA State Sales Tax. <br /> 3 <br />
