This loan is for the funding of modifications at Portal#3 in the Lake Chaplain Reservoir. <br /> The project will involve the construction of a stainless steel pipe which will connect a 54"concrete pipe to <br /> the tunnels that lead to the transmission lines.This pipe will then be encased in concrete to provide a positive <br /> barrier between the potable water inside Portal#3, and untreated lake water. The amount of the loan is $1.06 <br /> Million and the terms of the loan are a 1.5%interest rate with a 24-year term. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the 2011 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Loan Agreement for the Portal <br /> #3 Modifications at the Everett Water Filtration Plant. <br /> 69 <br />
