/14,/%bci <br /> RESOLUTION NO, 7113 El/F/FETT <br /> A RESOLUTION to establish primary and alternate representation on the Washington <br /> State Transit Insurance Pool (WSTIP) Board of Directors <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett on behalf of Everett Transit has been a member of the <br /> Washington State risk management coalition for public transit since 2005; and <br /> WHEREAS,the coalition is also known as the Washington State Transit Insurance Pool <br /> (WSTIP); and <br /> WHEREAS, in 2005 the designated board member and alternates were identified with the <br /> adoption of the Interlocal Agreement approved on April 27, 2005 as the Transportation and <br /> Transit Services Director, City of Everett Risk Manager, and Transit Operations Manager; and <br /> WHEREAS, since the original agreement Everett Transit has added a Transit Training/Safety <br /> Coordinator to its staff; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Transit Training/Safety Coordinator is tasked with reviewing all collisions and <br /> events and is the primary point of contact with WSTIP on day to day operational issues; and <br /> WHEREAS,the position of Operations Manager was replaced by the Transportation Services <br /> Manager in 2008; and <br /> WHEREAS, the WSTIP interlocal agreement requires a member's governing body to authorize <br /> changes to the designated representation on the WSTIP Board of Directors; and <br /> WHEREAS, Everett Transit recognizes the Transit Training/Safety Coordinator as the primary <br /> liaison between WSTIP and Everett Transit for day to day operations; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND EVERETT CITY <br /> COUNCIL THAT: <br /> The approved appointees to represent the City of Everett/Everett Transit on the Washington State <br /> Transit Insurance Pool Board of Directors shall be as follows: <br /> Director—Transportation and Transit Services Director <br /> 1St Alternate—Everett Transit Training/Safety Coordinator <br /> 2"d Alternate—City of Everett Risk Manager <br />
