Snohomish County has an approved boating safety program. The County is responsible for <br /> equitably distributing a portion of the fees it has received to local jurisdictions within the County that (1) <br /> have approved boating safety programs, (2) desire to receive a share of the fees and (3) have entered into a <br /> cooperative agreement with the County. Everett has received approval of its boating safety program and is <br /> eligible to receive its share of the fees, which is 40% of the total amount received by the County. The <br /> Agreement term is March 1,2012,through February 29,2015. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign Distribution of Vessel Registration Fees Agreement with Snohomish County. <br /> 31 <br />
