15 <br /> RETURN T • <br /> O <br /> t� CITY �e: t�cn STA_Ts, <br /> St;alte o g��`. a . item 7 t o n ,� -',.:,›- .-,_4, Depaur tr nten t of (Corrections <br /> 9 201 ° °- 7 <br /> v e r ett, `�'!A - .- . ,:H (Contract No.. 00007096 <br /> s _ may <br /> .F <br /> tiss9s <br /> This ]bnitedoca i Agreement ("Agreement") is made by the state of Washington, <br /> Department of Corrections, hereinafter referred to as Department, and the Everett Police <br /> Department, hereinafter referred to as Agency. <br /> WHEREAS, RCW Chapter 39.34(Interlocal Cooperation Act) permits state agencies and local <br /> Governments to make the most efficient use of their powers by authorizing them to enter into <br /> Agreements with each other, in order to provide services and facilities in a manner best serving <br /> the needs.and development of their local communities: and <br /> WHEREAS, the purpose of this Agreement is to allow Department to place Community <br /> Corrections Officers ("CCO's") at the premises owned/operated by Agency located at 3002 1 <br /> Wetmore Ave., Everett, WA 98201 ("Premises") so as to participate in the Regional Intelligence <br /> c. <br /> Group 1 ("RIG-1"). <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the terms and conditions contained herein, Department 11 <br /> and Agency agree as follows: <br /> 1. Agency Responsibilities: Agency shall provide: `` <br /> A. Office space for one (1) CCO at Premises. t <br /> B. A desk, computer, utilities, and telephone lines. .: <br /> C. That premises will be accessible to the CCO seven days a week, twenty-four hours <br /> per day. <br /> D. A mail box slot at Premises to which CCO has access. <br /> E. Provide CCO with RIG-1 bulletins and other written/verbal/electronic information as <br /> requested and/or necessary. . vi <br /> 2. Department Responsibilities: Department shall: . <br /> A. Keep the office space clean <br /> B.. Wear Department identification at all times when within the building. <br /> C. Participate in RIG-1 meetings. . <br /> D. Share information in regard to matters of local, state and federal domestic security <br /> and persons of common interest. <br /> E. Provide CCO with a vehicle, cellular phone, pager and all other necessary <br /> investigative equipment. . <br /> F. Maintain supervision of the CCO. The CCO is not considered an employee of the <br /> City of Everett. <br /> G. Be responsible for any and all costs associated with the work of, or incurred by, the <br /> CCO under this agreement, including pay, benefits, overtime pay, travel <br /> reimbursement, investigative expenses, and training costs. The CCO's wages, <br /> hours, and working conditions are the responsibility of the Department, and not the <br /> RIG 1 or the City of Everett. <br /> 3. Mutual benefits: This Agreement improves both parties ability to carry out public safety <br /> responsibilities through: <br /> A.
