On December 29, 2011,the City's Hearing Examiner held that code violations <br /> existed at 5630 Commercial Avenue.Violations included the accumulation of garbage and overgrown <br /> vegetation on the exterior of the property. The Examiner also imposed a penalty of$3500. The violations <br /> were not abated in accordance with the Order and the City abated the violations with the property owner's <br /> permission. The abatement costs incurred by the City will be past due on June 3,2012. This Resolution <br /> authorizes placement of an assessment lien on the property on or after June 3,2012,in the amount of the <br /> outstanding costs of abatement and the penalties imposed by the Examiner,which total $5,551.48. <br /> RECOMIVILNDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> A Resolution authorizing recovery of abatement costs pursuant to EMC 1.20.090 at 5630 Commercial <br /> Avenue. <br /> 1 <br />
