Message from the Director
5
reefings and thank you for participating in our public outreach process
for the proposed changes to Everett Transit's service and fares. During this
process,we held eight public meetings and took additional comments at
neighborhood meetings and employer transit events throughout the city.
Transportation services staff analyzed this information and incorporated the
input we received.
Key changes include:
• Additional service is added to Route 7 and Route 8, particularly on
Sunday to assure connections south of 4th Ave./Evergreen Way.
. Route 29 will have two variations, one with all the current
neighborhood loops and one with no loops.
. Route 25 is now called Route 5,and will start at Everett Station and
operate counter-clockwise to College Station and back to Everett
Station. Because of the connection opportunities at Everett Station,
Route 5 will operate on Saturday and Sunday.
. Routes 7 and 29 will operate through downtown to avoid the
Broadway bridge.
• Route 12 will be modified to serve 7th Avenue instead of Beverly
Boulevard.
. The fare proposal includes a monthly pass option for the reduced
fare category.
This brochure provides details of other planned changes to the system.
' encourage you to read it and to attend one of the public meetings or the
?ublic Hearing at Everett City Council,Wednesday,June 6,2012, at 6:30 p.m.
Again, thank you for your input. It is our pleasure to serve you.
Sincerely,
74'
Thomas E.
