Public Hearing <br /> The City Council held a public hearing on the date of adoption of this Ordinance. <br /> • <br /> Section 2. Findings of Fact <br /> The"Whereas"provisions of this Ordinance shall constitute Findings of Fact in support of <br /> Ordinance No. 3232-11 and Ordinance No. 3232-11 is hereby amended to include the"Whereas" <br /> provisions of this Ordinance. <br /> Section 3. Moratorium Shall Not Lapse <br /> Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3232-11 which reads as follows: <br /> Term <br /> This moratorium shall terminate one year after passage unless earlier repealed or <br /> renewed according to law. <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> • <br /> Tenn <br /> The moratorium established by this Ordinance shall be for an initial period of one <br /> year beginning on the date of passage, July 20, 2011, and ending on July 20, <br /> 2012.If Council extends the moratorium beyond the initial period of one year,the <br /> moratorium shall not lapse and shall continuously remain in effect for each <br /> successive extension period. <br /> Section 4. Moratorium Extension <br /> Ordinance No. 3232-11 is hereby amended by the addition of a new section to read as follows: <br /> Notwithstanding any language in this Ordinance, this Ordinance shall not lapse <br /> and shall be extended for an additional six month renewal period from July 20, <br /> 2012,through December 20,2012. <br /> Section 5. Work Plan <br /> Staff shall continue to implement the work plan identified in Ordinance No.3232-11 and shall <br /> specifically monitor the pending political and legal proceedings that bear on this issue and <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> 11 <br />
