The Ordinance established a six- <br /> month moratorium under RCW 36.70A.390, on the acceptance of applications or issuance of permits for new <br /> uses or buildings in order for the City to conduct a re-use planning process for the Central Waterfront <br /> Planning Area. <br /> • The moratorium will expire August 15,2012,unless extended by the City Council. The City is making <br /> progress on the re-use plan,but will not complete the process prior to the expiration of the moratorium. State <br /> law allows for an extension of the moratorium for an additional six months.
