Staff identified the Request <br /> For Proposal(RFP)process as the appropriate method for selecting a vendor to provide continued support for <br /> the phone network. <br /> The RFP was sent to 6 vendors,posted on the Internet and advertised in the Herald. Responses were <br /> received from NEC Corporation of America,Black Box Network Services,Digital Telecommunications <br /> Corporation and Shared Technologies. After evaluating proposals, staff is recommending an award to Black <br /> Box Network Services as the most advantageous to the City. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Award RFP 2012-005 for NEC Telephone Network Maintenance to Black Box Networks Services in an <br /> annual amount of$105,325,including Washington State Sales Tax. <br /> 217 <br />
