If the Commission initiates consideration of the requested amendment, it is not commitment to support the amendment. The purpose is to begin a process where the City can ge he amendment to a public notification and review of property owners in the area. In the meantime,_ e City can complete the analysis, and begin review of redevelopment potential along that part oft corridor. With the adoption of the Downtown Plan in 2006,the City removed the off street parking r- .uirements for non-residential uses which encouraged the reuse of buildings in downtown core.
