If the Commission initiates <br /> consideration of the requested amendment, it is not commitment to support the amendment. The <br /> purpose is to begin a process where the City can ge he amendment to a public notification and review <br /> of property owners in the area. In the meantime,_ e City can complete the analysis, and begin review <br /> of redevelopment potential along that part oft corridor. With the adoption of the Downtown Plan in <br /> 2006,the City removed the off street parking r- .uirements for non-residential uses which encouraged <br /> the reuse of buildings in downtown core. Mr iffen asked Commissioners to agree to initiate <br /> consideration of the code amendment.
