Staff Report <br /> Dogwood Comprehensive Plan amendment, located on Mukilteo <br /> Boulevard, west of Dogwood and Olympic. <br /> A. Introduction: <br /> This 3.5 acre commercial site, under multiple ownerships, is zoned B-2 (Community Business). <br /> The proposed action is to amend the Comprehensive Plan designation from 4.1 (Neighborhood <br /> Business)to 4.2 (Community Business)to make the Comprehensive Plan designation consistent with <br /> the zoning. <br /> There is no proposal to change the zoning. <br /> B. Background: <br /> 1. This property was zoned B-2 in 1979. When the Comprehensive Plan designation was later <br /> applied,the designation should have been established as 4.2 (Community Business) in order to make <br /> it consistent with the B-2 zone. The current action is intended to remedy the situation and make the <br /> zoning and Comprehensive Plan map designation consistent with each other. <br /> 2. The inconsistency between the zoning and under lying Comprehensive Plan designation was <br /> discovered and is now being changed to be consistent. <br /> 3. The subject area is in the View Ridge/Madison neighborhood. Staff met with the Neighborhood <br /> to discuss this action on January 4 of this year. Staff also met with interested property owners at their <br /> request. <br /> 4. There has been no written correspondence regarding this proposal. <br /> 1 <br />
