2. The action approving placement of the subject Urban Growth Area on the <br /> Comprehensive Plan map demonstrates intent on the part of the City to bring this area <br /> into the City, but it is recognized additional steps will be required before the area is <br /> legally made part of the City. <br /> 3. To achieve the proposed map amendment,the subject area needs to be indicated on the <br /> Comprehensive Plan map surrounded by Everett's proposed City limits boundary, and <br /> shown as 2.8 (Public/Quasi Public Facilities)within the indicated expansion area. <br /> 4. The public health safety and welfare would be provided for by the proposal under <br /> existing development regulations of the City. <br /> 5. The proposed amendment to the land use map and rezone promotes the best long term <br /> interest of the Everett Community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDS: <br /> 1. Amend the Comprehensive Plan land use map in the subject area to expand the Urban Growth <br /> Area and to change the designation from Snohomish.County Riverway Commercial Farm Land <br /> to 2.8 (Pubic/Quasi Public Facilities).
