Excess grease was pushed out of a port in the <br /> plastic cap and out of the gap between the cap and the bearing pad. The bolts were then installed to <br /> secure the plastic cap to the bearing plate. It appears the caps were completely filled with grease and <br /> installed correctly. <br /> Figure 3 shows one of several bearing plates that were not flush with the back face of the concrete <br /> deadman. As can be seen in the photo there is some dirt between the plate and the deadman.This was <br /> pointed out to the Contractor who said they would clean out the dirt before the tierods were tightened. <br /> „" 3 <br />
