The tower was
originally designed for a wind speed of 90 mph per EIA RS-222-D for the appurtenances listed in Table 3. The
tower has been modified per reinforcement drawings prepared by TEP in August of 2015. TEP visited the site in
January of 2016 to gather steel and appurtenance information. All information provided to TEP was assumed to
be accurate and complete.
2)ANALYSIS CRITERIA
The analysis has been performed in accordance with the ANSI/TIA-222-G-2-2009 Structural Standard for Antenna
Supportinp Structures and Antennas—Addendum 2 using a nominal 3-second gust wind speed of 85 mph with
no ice, 30 mph with 0.25 inch ice thickness and 60 mph under senrice loads with the following design criteria:
Tvpe of Analvsis: Rigorous Structural Analysis
Classification of Structure: Class II
Exqosure Cateaorv: Exposure C
Topoaraphic Cateaory: Category 1
Earthauake Cateaory: Does Not Control
Earthquake effects must be considered for Class 11 and III structures per the Washington Administrative
Code, Chapter 51-50.
