The Current Interlocal <br /> Agreement provides for each jurisdiction to contribute toward the local match requirements for federal grant <br /> funds. The City of Everett's share for the agreement of July 1,2012,to June 30,2013,is$25,746.00. <br /> In addition to an annual agreement,the City of Everett entered into an Interlocal Agreement for Task Force <br /> Service which provided for certain financial contributions by the City of Everett to the Task Force for the <br /> period of January 1,2008 through December 31,2011. As that agreement has expired, it is necessary to <br /> enter into this new Interlocal Agreement Regarding Task Force Funding in order to clarify what financial <br /> contributions, if any,the City of Everett will make to the Task Force in addition to the$25,746.00 grant <br /> match. <br /> This Interlocal Agreement Regarding Task Force Funding provides that the Task Force may retain up to <br /> . $175,000.00 of the net monetary proceeds to which the City of Everett is entitled under Section 5.3 of the <br /> Current Interlocal Agreement regarding asset forfeiture., If such net monetary proceeds exceed this amount, <br /> the excess will be distributed to the City of Everett. If such net monetary proceeds fall short of this amount, <br /> the City is not obligated to pay the difference.Lastly, in order to make this agreement run concurrently with <br /> the Current Interlocal Agreement, effective July 1,2012 through December 31, 2012, a payment of <br /> $87,500.00 will be paid to the Task Force by the City of Everett to cover the period of January 1, 2012 to <br /> June 30, 2012. <br /> RECOM1VIENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Interlocal Agreement Regarding Task Force Funding. <br /> 139 <br />
