Segment 4 is the next segment scheduled for <br /> construction in 2013. In April 2012,the State legislature approved a grant of$1.0 million for this project. <br /> This grant is being administered by the State Department of Health(DOH). The City of Everett needs to <br /> enter into an agreement with the DOH to obtain the grant funds. These funds will be conveyed to the Tulalip <br /> tribes who will be managing the construction of this segment and financing the remaining project <br /> construction cost of about$9 million. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign a Tulalip Water Pipeline-Segment 4 Grant Agreement with the Department of <br /> Health for$1.0 million. <br /> 1 <br />
