The goal is to continue to reduce traffic related deaths and serious injuries by engaging in <br /> multijurisdictional,high visibility enforcement patrols in the areas of impaired driving and occupant <br /> protection(seat belts). This Memorandum of Understanding sets forth the requirements of the Everett Police <br /> Department to participate in.the project and receive the allotted funding. For the term of this agreement, <br /> October 1,2012 to September 30,2013,the allocation for the Everett Police Department's participation is <br /> $3500.00 for impaired driving enforcement and$1600.00 for seat belt enforcement. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the 2012-2013 Memorandum of Understanding with the Washington Traffic <br /> Safety Commission regarding participation in high visibility enforcement traffic safety emphasis patrols. <br />
