G <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> AND <br /> BLUE MARBLE ENVIRONMENTAL LLC <br /> The City and Blue Marble Environmental LLC agree to amend and modify their professional <br /> services agreement dated January 3, 2012 (the"Agreement") as follows: <br /> WHEREAS, Blue Marble Environmental LLC and the City entered into an Agreement dated <br /> January 3, 2012 to develop and implement waste reduction and recycling programs for the City; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has received a grant from the Department of Ecology to reduce <br /> contamination in existing food waste composting programs and downtown recycling containers; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,the City desires to expand the scope of work to revisit 60 existing commercial and <br /> 60 multi-family accounts that participate in food composting programs and provide technical and <br /> educational assistance to reduce contamination from the food waste compost stream; and reduce <br /> the amount of contamination in downtown recycling containers; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has entered into an agreement with the Department of Ecology that will <br /> provide funding for the City to hire a specialist to conduct site visits and provide technical and <br /> education assistance to small business generators of hazardous waste and pollutants; and <br /> • <br /> WHEREAS,the City desires to expand the scope of the work to conduct 130 site visits of small <br /> businesses, provide technical assistance and education services to these businesses in an effort to <br /> prevent pollution of urban waters of the state; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City and Blue Marble Environmental LLC agree to amend their agreement to <br /> (a) increase the maximum compensation by an additional $152,000 from the current contract <br /> level of$116,500 to $268,550; and(b) expand the scope of work to provide services for <br /> activities included in the Department of Ecology Coordinated Prevention Grant and the <br /> interagency agreement with Department of Ecology to conduct site visits for the Local Source <br /> Control Program <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the City of Everett and Blue Marble Environmental LLC agree to amend <br /> and modify the previously amended Agreement as follows: <br /> 1.
