This construction contract was awarded by Council in <br /> January 2012 for 2,414,286.60. Construction was suspended in September 2012 due to a number of issues, <br /> including permitting changes and alterations in the river conditions. The attached agreement delivers.a final <br /> $300,000 contractor payment,terminates the construction contract, and resolves all pending contractor <br /> claims. It is the intent of the Utilities Division to make adjustments to the project,and rebid the project for <br /> construction in Summer 2013. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the attached Project Close Out and Settlement Agreement for Transmission Line <br /> Number 5 Replacement at Pilchuck River in the amount of$300,000. <br /> 19 <br />
