I <br /> IEngineer furnished information regarding site conditions in preparing and submitting a <br /> Bid. <br /> I Further supplement 1-02.4(1)by adding the following: <br /> 1-02.4(1)A Interpretation of Contract Documents <br /> (******) <br /> I Should a Bidder find what is believed to be discrepancies in or omissions from the Plans, <br /> Specifications, or Special Provisions, or should the Bidder be in doubt as to their <br /> meaning, Bidder may submit to the Engineer a written request for an interpretation <br /> I thereof. The Bidder submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. <br /> Any interpretation of the documents, if made, will be made only by addendum duly <br /> issued and a copy of such addendum will be mailed or delivered to each Bidder receiving <br /> I a set of such documents. All requests for interpretations must be received by the City or <br /> Engineer no later than 7 calendar days prior to the Proposal opening date. All questions <br /> regarding the Contract Documents shall be referred to the City or Engineer at the address <br /> provided in the Contract Documents. <br /> I <br /> 1-02.4(1)B Prevailing Wages <br /> I Bidder is directed to 1-07.9(1) of these Special Provisions for requirements regarding <br /> applying payment of prevailing wage rates for employment of labor within Snohomish <br /> County. <br /> I1-02.4(1)C Pre-Bid Site Visit/Meeting <br /> Bidders may attend a non-mandatory pre-bid site visit/meeting on Thursday February 23, <br /> 2017 between 10am and 11am at the project site, 1700 block of East Marine View Drive. <br /> I <br /> This is the only time that full access will be provided to the existing siphon headworks <br /> site and building. The Engineer will provide a brief overview of the project and answer <br /> some general questions. Safe entry inside the siphon headworks structure can only be <br /> I conducted during relatively dry weather conditions. If significant local rain is occurring, <br /> entry inside the siphon headworks structure will be rescheduled. <br /> 1 Attendees wanting to enter the siphon headworks structure must furnish/wear their own <br /> personal protective apparel consisting of: hard hat,high visibility vest/coat, safety glasses <br /> and sturdy shoes/boots. <br /> I1-02.4(2) Subsurface Information <br /> Delete the first paragraph and substitute the following: <br /> IIf the City has made subsurface investigation of the site of the proposed Work,the boring <br /> log data and soil sample test data accumulated by the City will be made available for <br /> inspection by the Bidders. The boring logs and soil sample test data shall NOT be <br /> I <br /> considered as part of the Contract. In addition, the City makes no representation or <br /> warranty expressed or implied that: <br /> The Bidders'interpretations from the boring logs are correct, <br /> I1. <br /> 2. Moisture conditions and indicated water tables will not vary from those found at <br /> the time the borings were made,and <br /> I 3.
