18 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />CITY OF EVERETT <br />WATER FILTER PLANT STRUCTURAL REPAIRS & REHABILIATION <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />This Scope of Work presents the professional services requested by the City of Everett to provide <br />structural engineering services in support of the repairing and the rehabilitation of structures located at the <br />Water Filter Plant. <br />The following projects will be supported to accomplish the Scope of Work. <br />Project -1 Portal 4 Structural Repairs <br />Portal 4 is a concrete tilt -up building that provides shelter for a large water conveyance line, which <br />daylights within the building. The interior of the building is exposed to the off -gassing of chlorine in the <br />water, which has created corrosion of the building's steel framing, and spalling of various structural <br />concrete elements. <br />The City has requested a proposal from CG Engineering to provide a condition assessment of the concrete <br />and steel structures, including recommendations for repair, and an engineer's estimate of the repair. We <br />will provide PS&E documents for the repair work. We will serve as the project manager for the project in <br />coordination with City project manager. <br />Task 1— Project Management & Coordination <br />Under this task, CG Engineering will manage all aspects of the project scope, schedule and budget. <br />Project management services include: <br />1.1 CG Engineering staff management. <br />1.2 Management and coordination of sub consultants. <br />1.3 Communication and coordination with the City of Everett as required. <br />Task 2 — Data Collection and Field Investigation <br />CG Engineering and Coles Consultants, Inc. (sub consultant) will evaluate the existing conditions at the <br />site and collect field data. The available building drawings and calculations will be obtained from the <br />City. Subtasks include: <br />2.1 Obtain and review available existing drawings and calculations. <br />2.2 Conduct one site visit with sub consultant to evaluate the existing condition of the building <br />structural elements and ventilation system. <br />23 Take measurements and collect field data. <br />195 <br />
