How and when services will be provided: Services are provided as needed by a family as outlined in the
Individualized Service Plan (IFSP) which is developed by the counselor and the parents. A counselor
provides services to the family until the goals specified in the IFSP have been met, or until the child turns
three and the family transitions out of Early Intervention services. A typical session is 60 minutes and the
frequency of the sessions is based on the goals for the family.
By whom are services provided: Services are provided by Master's prepared Social Workers,
Counselors or Marriage and Family Counselors employed by ChildStrive. Staff receive training related to
working with families with children with disabilities; parent coaching; and reflective coaching and
practice. Each counselor receives regular Reflective Supervision from a licensed Social Worker or
Marriage & Family Counselor.
