Snohomish County <br /> Industrial Land Policy <br /> County-wide Planning Policies <br /> From Policy ED 3c: <br /> Designate the Paine Field-Boeing area as a Manufacturing/Industrial Center(MIC), <br /> recognizing that it is a major, existing regional employment area of intensive, <br /> concentrated manufacturing and industrial land uses, including aerospace, aircraft <br /> manufacturing and high-technology uses, which is and has historically been so designated <br /> in comprehensive plans. <br /> The Manufacturing Industrial Center shall: <br /> • Accommodate aerospace related employment and associated activities. <br /> • Accommodate employment which requires a high floor area to employee ratio <br /> but strive to increase the overall employment density within the <br /> manufacturing and industrial center; <br /> • Encourage a mix of uses which support and enhance manufacturing, aerospace <br /> and industrial centers. <br /> • Provide adequate public facilities and services, including good access to the <br /> region's transportation system, which is essential to the success of the MIC. <br /> 9 <br />
