,Poe/Sfam <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6315 <br /> -ear J Iii <br /> A RESOLUTION concerning donations to The Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett Senior Center Foundation offered to donate up to $40,000 <br /> towards the cost of an elevator for The Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS,the cost of the elevator for the Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett has <br /> exceeded $40,000 and the Everett Senior Center Foundation has offered to make a cash <br /> donation not to exceed $40,000; and <br /> WHEREAS,EMC 2.105.020 grants the Mayor authority to conditionally accept gifts of <br /> personal property and the Mayor does recommend acceptance of this gift of$40,000 <br /> towards The Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett elevator; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett also requests the transfer of <br /> $51,187 from the Senior Center Reserve Fund to Facility Maintenance Fund 146 for the <br /> purpose of purchasing new kitchen equipment; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Everett City Council: <br /> 1) Accept the gift of$40,000 from the Everett Senior Center Foundation towards the <br /> cost of the elevator at The Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett <br /> 2) Allow transfer of$51,187 from the Senior Center Reserve - sow• ' • <br /> Maintenance Fund 146 <br /> s/Pe 0 <br /> Co • ' •erson In •e cing Resolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this 6th day of October ,2010 <br /> AirCouncil P cident <br /> 1 <br />
