ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION ,. <br /> DATE: July 12, 2004 <br /> LOCATION: 11525-19th Ave SE <br /> SUBJECT: SR 527 (19th Ave SE) - WIDENING PROJECT <br /> ACTION: Impact determination of widening project to existing building <br /> relating to the Everett Building Code Requirements <br /> FINDINGS: <br /> • There are two required exits on the western side of the building. <br /> • One exit serves the hair salon on the second floor (via a stairway) the <br /> other exit serves a commercial daycare facility. <br /> • The exits must lead to the public way via an approved egress path. <br /> • The egress path could lead to the southern parking lot, and then to 116th <br /> ST. SE. <br /> • The minimum required clear width of this egress path is 4". <br /> • The introduction of a retaining wall as a result of the SR 527/19th Ave SE <br /> widening project that will be located approximately 13 feet from the <br /> western side of the building would not interfere with the required egress <br /> path. <br /> SUMMARY: <br /> • Full compliance of the egress requirements of the Everett Building Code <br /> for the building's West elevation can be met in the current condition and <br /> in the subsequent condition following construction of the retaining wall. <br /> Z—_ <br /> Tim yler <br /> Building Official <br /> DEDIMLER AA REAL PROPERTY RETAINING WALL <br />
