Please review and respond to the comments below. These comments address <br /> building issues only. Additional revisions, or additions, may be required by other departments <br /> (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 2012 International Building Code <br /> (IBC), the 2012 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2012 International Mechanical Code (IMC), <br /> and the 2012 International Energy Conservation (IECC), as amended by the State of <br /> Washington and adopted by the City of Everett. The current IBC referenced standard for <br /> accessible design is the 2009 "Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities" (ICC/ANSI <br /> A117.1). Federal ADA regulations and standards may be more restrictive. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of construction <br /> documents reflecting the corrections requested. <br /> 1. Additional information is required to verify compliance with the IMC for the proposed <br /> type 1 hood. This should include but not be limited to; <br /> • The requirement for an approved automatic fire suppression system. IMC 509.1 <br /> (separate permit). <br /> • An exhaust flow label indicating the minimum exhaust flow rate in CFM per linear <br /> FT. of hood that provides for capture and containment of the exhaust effluent <br /> for the cooking appliances served by the hood. IMC 507.2. <br /> • Hood and duct materials. IMC 507.4, 507.6, 507.7. <br /> • Canopy size and location including the relationships to the cooking equipment. <br /> IMC 507.12. <br /> • Hood and duct clearances. IMC 507.9, 506.5.4 & 507. 10 <br /> • The requirement for a grease duct test.
