For your reference, the original comments are
included in italics.
1. Provide Architectural drawings for proposed repairs to the fire damaged structure,
including floor plans with all rooms labeled showing exhaust fans, smoke alarms, carbon
monoxide alarms, window U—Value, safety glass, Insulation values and general
construction requirements. Plans have been redrawn and included on full sized
architectural sheets. Plans include room labels, locations of exhaust fans for bathrooms
and utility room, locations of smoke alarms at both levels, locations of carbon monoxide
alarms at both levels, a window schedule with U values for the windows, insulation
values at the roof and walls, and general construction details.
2. The Planning Department restricts covered decks to a maximum of 6 feet intrusion into
the rear setback. Show on architectural plans. The deck condition prior to the fire
consisted of an 8 foot wide wood deck at the lower level, an 8 foot wide deck at the
upper level, and a 10 foot wide roof covering the decks. The repair plans have been
revised to show the framing of the lower deck pulled back to 6 foot maximum width and
the roof over the upper deck will not be replaced. The upper deck is called out as 8 feet
wide
3. Application should show all fixtures being replaced as part of this permit including
Toilets, Lavatory's Tub/Shower, Dishwasher, ducting, furnace exhaust fan, and range
hood. Fixtures have been added to the plans.
Seattle Office: 23109 55th Ave West, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043 T: 425.775.5550 F:425.775.0900
Anchorage • Denver - Honolulu . Los Angeles .
