May 3, 2017 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., May 3, 2017, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Tuohy presiding. Upon roll call, <br /> it was found that Council Members Roberts, Murphy, Franklin, Bader, <br /> Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Mayor Stephanson and Council <br /> Member Moore were excused. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the April 26, 2017, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Member Stonecipher abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Franklin reported on her attendance at the Tulalip Water <br /> Pipeline Project celebration and the Early Learning Symposium hosted by <br /> Everett Public Schools. She also provided a liaison report on her attendance <br /> at the Community Streets Initiative meeting earlier today. Council Member <br /> Franklin reminded the public that the public hearing regarding Safe Streets <br /> Supportive Housing is scheduled on May 18, at 6 p.m. in the Weyerhaeuser <br /> Room at Everett Station. She also provided a recap from the Public Safety <br /> Subcommittee meeting held earlier this evening. <br /> Council Member Roberts reported on his attendance at the following events: <br /> Tulalip Water Pipeline Project celebration, People's Climate March, and <br /> Understanding and Implementing Racial Equity. He also commented on <br /> funding for Sound Transit 2 (ST2) and Sound Transit 3 (ST3) projects. <br /> Council Member Roberts announced that the General Government <br /> Subcommittee is scheduled to meet on May 17. <br /> Council Member Murphy commented on his ride-along with Everett Police <br /> Officer Albright on Friday, and encouraged other council members to <br /> participate in the program.
