May 10, 2017 <br /> OATH — POLICE OFFICER <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member <br /> Bader, to concur with the appointment of Timothy Walker as a new <br /> police officer. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Stonecipher who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The City Clerk administered the oath of office, and Mayor Stephanson <br /> presented Officer Walker with his badge. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Bader provided a liaison report on his attendance at the <br /> Puget Sound Regional Council Growth Management Policy Board last <br /> week, as well as his attendance at the Envision Everett Committee <br /> meeting on Monday evening. He announced the final meeting of the <br /> vision committee is scheduled for May 22. Council Member Bader also <br /> reported that he attended, along with President Tuohy, the William F. <br /> Brown Awards last Saturday. <br /> Council Member Franklin stated she provided welcoming remarks today at <br /> the Woodspring Suites Grand Opening event. She also invited citizens to <br /> attend Animal Rescue Foundations' Golden Paw Gala 2017 on May 20th <br /> at the Everett Golf and Country Club. <br /> Council Member Roberts expressed his appreciation for the visioning <br /> committee's work. He stated he attended the Port Gardner Neighborhood <br /> meeting and reported on his attendance today at the Bridgeways <br /> Community Connections event. <br /> Council Member Moore commented on the final meeting of the Joint <br /> Tulalip Water Board of Directors.
