.00,m4 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7124 <br /> A RESOLUTION establishing Prohibited Areas related to areas of drug trafficking. <br /> WHEREAS, on December 19, 2007, the Council enacted Ordinances related to <br /> Violations of Court Orders; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Ordinances require that Stay Out of Drug Areas ("SODA") orders set <br /> forth Prohibited Areas that have been established by a resolution of the City Council, at a <br /> minimum of every two years; and <br /> WHEREAS,the evolving nature of open air drug markets is such that certain areas of the <br /> City are currently not in the prohibited areas but are areas of drug trafficking; and <br /> WHEREAS,the areas must be updated every two years, the ordinance allows for more <br /> frequent updates to accurately reflect what is occurring within the City; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Ordinances require that the establishment of the Prohibited Areas be <br /> supported by information from the Police Department in the form of one or more <br /> declarations and/or other sworn testimony; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council has reviewed the declaration of Sergeant Jeff <br /> Hendrickson, and/or has heard other sworn testimony; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That the City Council adopts the attached recommendations for Prohibited Areas related <br /> to areas of drug and trafficking. <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 24th day of May, 2017. <br /> Co 0 7 it Presid-nt <br /> Councilmember Introducing Resolution <br />
