, <br /> /IP <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6394 <br /> 41&""J <br /> ill <br /> A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a sole source <br /> purchase of Siemens TACTICS Central Traffic Control from Western Systems <br /> WHEREAS, the City has the need to replace the current central control system; and <br /> WHEREAS,the TACTICS System is the only system that is compatible with the City's <br /> current traffic controllers and will interface with systems in use by Snohomish County <br /> and Washington State as required for the SWIFT bus corridor; and <br /> WHEREAS, TACTICS is only available from Western Systems as Siemens' <br /> Washington State distributor; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Everett that <br /> because there is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying Siemens <br /> TACTICS Traffic Signal Central Control system, the City hereby waives competitive <br /> bidding requirements and authorizes the purchase of TACTICS from Western Systems. <br /> Al <br /> Councilper n ntroducing Resolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this 15th day of June , 2011 <br /> /�% <br /> / <br /> Council 'rent <br /> 1 <br />
