"Ield) <br /> A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a sole source <br /> purchase of Opticom Vehicle Pre-Emption Central Management from Advanced Traffic <br /> Products <br /> WHEREAS,the City has the need to upgrade the Opticom Vehicle Pre-Emption System <br /> to support SWIFT Bus Service; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Opticom System is the only system that is compatible with the City's <br /> current vehicle pre-emption system; and <br /> WHEREAS, TACTICS is only available from Advanced Traffic Products as Opticom's <br /> Washington State distributor; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Everett that <br /> because there is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of supplying Opticom <br /> Vehicle Pre-Emption Central Management; the City hereby waives competitive bidding <br /> requirements and authorizes the purchase of Opticom Vehicle Pre-Emption Central <br /> Management from Advanced Traffic Products. <br /> Councilperson Introd ing Resolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this 15th day of June , 2011 <br /> Cou ' 71111.77: ident <br /> 1 <br />
