1 <br /> Manholes that need ring and lid replacement shall be identified by the City of Everett Sewer <br /> Department. Replacement ring and lid will be supplied by the City of Everett Sewer Department <br /> 1 and old ring and lid picked up. <br /> Immediately after grinding, Contractor shall construct an asphalt transition around manholes, <br /> catch basins, inlets and other structures. <br /> Adjusting Valve Boxes to Grade <br /> Where shown in the plans, existing valve boxes and covers shall be adjusted to the grade as <br /> staked or otherwise designated by the Engineer. The adjustment of the valve box to grade by the <br /> use of riser rings is not allowed. <br /> Removal operations shall be conducted to prevent damage to the valve boxes. Any parts or <br /> materials damaged due to the Contractors's operations shall be replaced at his expense. <br /> The Contractor shall conduct his valve box adjustments so that the fully- adjusted box allows the <br /> respective valve to be fully operational. The Contractor shall remove all debris from the adjusted <br /> valve boxes to ensure such operational condition. <br /> SECTION 7-5.4 OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS IS SUPPLEMENTED BY <br /> THE FOLLOWING: <br /> ' 7-5.4 Measurement <br /> "Adjust Valve Box to Grade", shall be measured per each. <br /> SECTION 7-05.5 OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS IS DELETED AND <br /> REPLACED BY THE FOLLOWING: <br /> 7-05.5 Payment <br /> Payment will be made for each of the following bid items that are included in the proposal: <br /> 1. "Adjust Manhole to Grade", per each. <br /> 2. "Adjust Catch Basin/Inlet to Grade", peer each. <br /> 111 <br /> The payment for"Adjust Manhole to Grade", "Adjust Catch Basin/Inlet to Grade", shall be full <br /> compensation for all costs necessary to make the adjustment including temporary cover, to <br /> lower, raise or adjust existing structure to required elevation, construction of asphalt transition <br /> around the structure, and restoration on adjacent area. Adjustment of any structures twice will be <br /> paid as one adjustment. <br /> 3.
