CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON ' SPECIAL PROVISIONS DIVISION 8 MISCELLANEOUS CONSTRUCTION SECTION 8-09 RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS I 8-09.1 Description Section 8-09.1 is supplemented with the following: At locations staked by the engineer, the Work shall consist of installing blue pavement markers at each fire hydrant adjacent to the nearest yellow paint line, on the side of the line that the hydrant is closest. Where multiple yellow lines exist, such as two way left turn lane lines or painted islands, only one marker will be installed adjacent to the nearest yellow paint line. 8-09.2 Materials Section 8-09.2 is supplemented with the following: Raised Pavement Marker (RPM) Type 2 shall be bi-directional blue-blue with abrasion resistant lens or coating and shall be one of the following: ' 1. 3M Series 290 Model 295-2B 2. Stimsonite Model 911-AB ' 8-09.3 Construction Requirements Section 8-09.3 is supplemented with the following: 8-09.3(5) Asphalt Adhesives MSection 8-09.3(5) is supplemented with the following: Adhesive for raised pavement markers on all hot mix asphalt surfaces shall be bituminous conforming to the requirements of Section 9-02.1(8) and be Crafco #34269 or approved equal, or, shall be Flint Premark Bundy Adhesive #8430055BK 5" by 5" installed per manufacturer's recommendations. 8-09.4 Measurement Section 8-09.4 is supplemented with the following: Measurement of markers will be per each for each blue marker furnished and in place. 8-09.5 Payment Section 8-09.5 is supplemented with the following: Payment will be made in accordance with section 1-04.1, for the following Bid item ' included in the Proposal: Raised Pavement Marker Type 2", per each.
