CHAPTER 3 <br />Retail Demand <br />Downtown Everett has experienced strong growth in several retail and service <br />sectors. <br />Over the next 20 years, downtown will continue to grow and reinforce its role as <br />the urban retail center of Snohomish County. It should continue recent trends, <br />with growth in all sectors as the surrounding trade area grows. It will build on its <br />recent success as the entertainment enter of the county, with the stronger growth <br />and increased market share in selected sectors, such as restaurants and <br />entertainment, as well as specialty retail (including apparel and miscellaneous <br />retail) attractive to urban dwellers.
