Exhibit A
Scope of Work
Amendment No. 1
HVAC Support, Fiberglass Dormer Design Support, and Cost Estimate
Stantec will provide additional HVAC support services, fiberglass dormer design support, a cost estimate
and associated additional project management services under Amendment No 1 as follows:
1. Task 100 - PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Stantec will provide additional project management activities associated with the additional scope
of work described in this Amendment No 1.
2. TASK 200-DESIGN SERVICES
A. Dormer Design Support: Add a fiberglass dormer to the structural design to provide a
covered stairway entrance to the vault. Coordinate with the dormer manufacturer regarding
cad files (manufacturer as identified by the City) and detailing the require anchoring to the
concrete cover.
B. HVAC Design Support: Provide limited HVAC design support services fo'r a ventilation
system in the proposed new 3 Lakes valve vault, based on the assumptions listed, as follows:
1) Determine air flow rates required (by code). Probably based on required air exchanges
when switch is turned on before man entry. See item 2 under assumptions below.
2) Size the intake and exhaust vent piping
3) Size a fan or blower for the air exchanges required
4) Provide a standard detail for typical vent pipes in and out of this type of vault.
5) Provide a spec or spec markup for the fan/blower
6) Provide coordination with electrical/I&C sub as needed.
HVAC assumptions:
1) The City will add vent piping and fan to the City's mechanical sheets based on Stantec
input.
2) The fan will not run continuously but would have the fan turned on when the hatch is
opened. Operators will need to wait a prescribed time period for needed air exchanges
before entry.
C. Opinion of Probable Cost: Provide a AACE Class 4 estimate for the vault structure and
miscellaneous metals based on the 90% design submittal.
1
