Additional revisions or additions may be <br /> required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the <br /> (2009 International Building Code,) (2009 International Residential Code,) as amended by the <br /> State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2009 Edition, and adopted by the <br /> City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> 1. Provide complete set of construction drawings showing the scope of work proposed <br /> under this permit. The plans shall be drawn using standard architecture symbols for <br /> walls, doors and windows, and dimensions. Provide details and sections to clearly <br /> define how the proposed change of use (converting garage into living space) meets <br /> code. <br /> 2. When additions, alterations, or repairs to a structure covered by the building code occur, <br /> the dwelling unit shall be equipped with smoke alarms located as required for new <br /> dwellings. Provide floor plan showing where all smoke alarms will be installed to meet <br /> the requirements of section R314.3 International Residential Code (IRC). <br /> 3. Show how the proposed change of use meets the requirements of the Washington State <br /> Energy Code (WSEC). Show R-value for all floors, walls, and ceiling. Show U-value for <br /> all doors and windows. Table 6-1 WSEC if proposed compliance for energy code is <br /> through Chapter 5 Component Performance (provide more insulation in one component <br /> [windows] to allow less insulation in another component [floor]).
