The plan entitled the "Everett Harborfront Public Access Plan"
is hereby adopted without the 13th Street project. There is a
recognized need for public access in the North Marina Area and
the City agrees with the Port Commission that public access at
13th Street will be revisited when plans for the Yacht Club are
developed. The City recognizes the need for flexibility in
regards to the 13th Street proposal in the plan and the
potential relocation of Jordan Park. The City affirms the need
for access to the water such as proposed with the 13th Street
proposal, but is open to another location and concept.
2. The City of Everett is committed to continue to work
cooperatively with the Port of Everett to provide public access
for the public.
3. The gate from the Navy base to the Marina Village shown on page
23 is not meant to be a requirement of the Navy. If possible,
it is desirable for the Navy to provide a gate on the north
side of the base to provide access to the Marina area.
