Before I can look at any exemptions or variances to a requirement, I have to be able to determine what
requirements apply to this project... At this point, I haven't had the information I needed to make a
determination!
So please answer this question—will the project be removing existing pavement down to the base course and
replacing 5,000 square feet or more of it with new pavement that's subject to vehicular traffic? Roof top area
doesn't count, nor does other hardscape that's just for pedestrians...
Jane
Jane Zimmerman, Sr. Engineer
City of Everett Public Works Department
phone:425-257-8885 fax:425-257-8882
e-mail:jzimmermana.everettwa.gov
From: Pari Holliday [mailto:PHolliday@darden.com]
Sent: Thursday, September 05, 2013 11:04 AM
To: Jane Zimmerman
Cc: Steve Hale L.D. Thank you for the clarification.
However, I'm curious if there is an opportunity to explore an exemption or variance for our situation, based on
the fact that the pervious surface area(5,900sf)that our project is adding to the property is greater than the
polluting impervious surface area(5,000sf)that we are replacing?
PARI HOLLIDAY
Site Development Manager
DARDEN Restaurants, Inc.
