RESOLUTION NO. //4 <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the demolition <br /> of a building situated at 1414 12th Street <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett Planning Director has found that the <br /> building which is located at 1414 12th Street to be a substandard building <br /> pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Planning Director issued an <br /> Order requiring the owners of the property to make necessary repairs or to <br /> demolish the building; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the required repairs or <br /> demolition have not taken place as was required in the Order; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Order issued by the Planning <br /> Director was properly served on the Title Company interested in the <br /> property; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owner of the property is <br /> aware of the Order; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owners have been given <br /> notice of this Council meeting; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there has been no appeal of the <br /> Order issued by the Planning Director and that the appeal period has <br /> expired; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, upon due consideration, deems it in the <br /> best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the public that this <br /> Resolution be adopted requiring the demolition of the building; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT: <br /> Section 1: That the building located at 1414 12th Street which is <br /> legally described as follows contains conditions which are hazardous to the <br /> life, limb, health, safety, welfare, and property of the public or the <br /> occupants thereof: <br /> The West 48 feet of Lots 17 and 18, and the West 48 feet of <br /> the North 1/2 of Lot 19, in Block 227, Supplemental Plat <br /> Church and LaMoure's Addition to Everett, as per plat in <br /> Volume 3 of Plats on page 35, records of Snohomish County; <br /> Situate in the County of Snohomish, State of Washington. <br />
