RESOLUTION NO. /e7 A RESOLUTION authorizing the demolition of a building situated at 2220 Grand Ave. WHEREAS, the City of Everett Planning Director has found that the building which is located at 2220 Grand Ave. is a substandard building pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Planning Director issued an Order requiring the owners of the property to make the necessary repairs or to demolish the building; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the required repairs or demolition have not taken place as required in the Order; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Order issued by the Planning Director was properly served on the owners of the property in question; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Planning Director has the authority to recommend this action pursuant to the Uniform Housing Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owners have been given notice of this Council meeting; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there has been no appeal of the Order issued by the Planning Director and that the appeal period has expired; and WHEREAS, the City Council, upon due consideration, deems it in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the public that this Resolution be adopted requiring the demolition of the building. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF EVERETT: Section 1: That the building located at 2220 Grand Ave. which is legally described as follows contained conditions which are hazardous to the life, limb, health, property, safety or welfare of the public or the occupants thereof: Lots 23 and 24, Block 483, Plat of Everett as per plat recorded in Volume 3 of Plats, on page 32, records of Snohomish County situated in the State of Washington, County of Snohomish and City of Everett.
