c <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 505-6, <br /> (p <br /> A RESOLUTION signifying the intent <br /> of the City Council to commit resources <br /> to the study and planning for a new <br /> animal shelter facility to be <br /> located with the City <br /> WHEREAS , the City of Everett has embarked upon a capital <br /> improvement program which includes facilities and public works which <br /> must be sited upon properties owned by the City ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the capital improvement plan contemplates the <br /> purchase of properties to be made as soon as possible to preclude <br /> the possibility that the property may become unavailable in the <br /> future ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the long-range capital improvement program for the <br /> City has identified the need for improving the housing and <br /> management of stray animals , lost pets , and other fauna which may <br /> need the temporary services of the shelter; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to embark upon a planning process <br /> that will determine among other aspects , the site , the <br /> configuration , and the cost of constructing and operating such a <br /> shelter , and which may be shared in some fashion with other <br /> jurisdictions of local government ; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT: <br /> That the Mayor is hereby authorized to prepare a budget to <br /> appropriate funds for a feasibility study , site selection , operating <br /> cost analysis , and co-management opportunities , which will be <br /> presented to the City Council , with a funding recommendation , for <br /> the City Council ' s consideration and adoption . <br /> i6,0 ,. 0 , ,, <br /> Councilman Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED BY CITY COUNCIL THIS c5/ DAY OF ax.____.z, 1988 <br /> 0 N <br /> /n7 .7./:./' 46Pi4j <br /> Council President <br /> Doc 0188W <br />
