RESOLUTION II 3p 6 J <br /> A RESOLUTION designating the William J . <br /> Langus Riverfront Park <br /> WHEREAS, Riverfront Park will be dedicated on September 7 , 1988 ; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the function of the Parks and Recreation Board to <br /> recommend names for parks to the City Council for their approval ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Board has recommended that the <br /> Riverfront Park be renamed Langus Riverfront Park in honor of <br /> William J . Langus , Councilman ; and <br /> WHEREAS, Councilman Langus has been a long-term park supporter <br /> of such projects as Kasch Park, Riverfront Park, the Jetty Island <br /> Program and many others ; and <br /> WHEREAS, Councilman Langus has honorably served on the City <br /> Council for over twenty years ; and <br /> WHEREAS , Councilman Langus has been an upstanding citizen in the <br /> community; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Everett City Council <br /> does accept the recommendation of the City of Everett Parks and <br /> Recreation Board and hereby declares Riverfron Park to be known <br /> hereafter as Langus Riverfront Park in .• - . of1 lliam J .
