RESOLUTION ii .3047 <br /> A RESOLUTION in remembrance of Diane Lane <br /> WHEREAS , Diane Lane was hired by the City of Everett in the <br /> position of Animal Control Director approximately two and one-half <br /> years ago, and has gained the love and respect of those who knew her <br /> since she came to our community; and <br /> WHEREAS , during her term as Animal Control Director for our City <br /> she was responsible for many innovative programs and ideas in the <br /> field of animal control , such as the "Adopt-A-Dog" program which has <br /> been held each year at the Everett Giants Stadium; and was <br /> instrumental in gaining support for the planning of a new shelter <br /> facility; and <br /> WHEREAS, Diane was committed to the expansion of knowledge in <br /> the field of animal control and humane treatment of animals , and was <br /> a member of numerous organizations in that pursuit such as the <br /> National Animal Control Association, the Society of Animal Welfare <br /> Administration, the Washington Federation of Humane Societies , the <br /> American Humane Association and the Washington Animal Control <br /> Association; and <br /> WHEREAS, Diane was a vital and active member of our community; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor William E.
