1 RESOLUTION NO. c30aK) <br /> 2 <br /> A RESOLUTION establishing a notification procedure for public <br /> 3 hearings and preliminary agendas for the Everett City <br /> Council . <br /> 4 <br /> 5 WHEREAS, Chapter 168, Laws of 1988 requires that the City establish a <br /> 6 procedure for notifying the public of upcoming Council hearings, Council <br /> 7 meetings and preliminary agenda; <br /> 8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> 9 EVERETT THAT: <br /> Section 1 : The preliminary agenda for City Council regularly scheduled <br /> 10 <br /> meetings will be published in any local newspaper prior to the date of the <br /> 11 Council meeting. <br /> 12 Section 2: The preliminary agenda for specially scheduled City Council <br /> 13 meetings will be published in any local newspaper prior to the date of the <br /> special meeting when time permits. Otherwise, notice will be provided as <br /> 14 required by law. <br /> 15 Section 3: Public hearings which are scheduled for regularly scheduled <br /> 16 City Council meetings will be advertised with the preliminary Council <br /> agendas as provided in Section 1 above. Notification for public hearings <br /> 17 which are scheduled for special Council meetings will appear in a local <br /> 18 newspaper prior to the date of the special meeting when time permits, as <br /> 19 provided in Section 2.
