RESOLUTION N0. q� <br /> A RESOLUTION making a recommendation to <br /> the City's Planning Commission concerning <br /> property which encompasses an area from <br /> south of Silver Lake to 132nd Street SE, <br /> also commonly known as "Murphy's Corner" <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council accepted a 75% Annexation Petition at their <br /> regular meeting on February 10, 1988, for the area generally described as an <br /> area south of Silver Lake to 132nd Street SE; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on April 20, 1988, <br /> regarding the 75% Annexation Petition as required by State law; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that a Notice of Intention to Annex <br /> the above described property to the City of Everett for the area is pending <br /> before the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that State law requires that a <br /> Comprehensive Plan land use designation be established for areas annexed to <br /> the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the existing Snohomish County land use policies for the <br /> Murphy's Corner annexation area consist of the North Creek Area <br /> Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Everett Planning Commission <br /> will hold a public hearing to review and make recommendations to Council <br /> regarding the appropriate Comprehensive General Land Use Plan policies and <br /> Plan map designation, for the above described area; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> The City Council requests the Everett Planning Commission to review <br /> and strongly consider recommending to the City Council the adoption <br /> of the existing North Creek Area Comprehensive Plan as the City's <br /> preferred land use regulation for the annexation area described above <br /> within the context of the City's General Comprehensive Plan policies <br /> and designations; and further, Council supports: <br /> 1. That the 16th Avenue SE street right-of-way shall remain a <br /> dead-end street and shall not be extended further south to <br /> serve additional development; <br />
