1 RESOLUTION NO. 741 <br /> 2 <br /> A RESOLUTION supporting the efforts of the Children's Funding <br /> 3 Alliance. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Children' s Funding Alliance is <br /> 6 a coalition of existing agencies and programs that provide direct services <br /> 7 to child victims of abuse and neglect, and also provide education/prevention <br /> 8 services to the Snohomish County community; and <br /> 9 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Children' s Funding Alliance <br /> 10 was established to coordinate and to maximize fund raising efforts; and <br /> 11 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Children's Funding Alliance is <br /> 12 planning a fund raising event entitled "Buck-A-Cup" involving local <br /> 13 restaurant-food service outlets; and <br /> 14 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such a fund raising event will <br /> 15 require the full cooperation of the community as well as the restaurant <br /> 16 association and the food servers union. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> 19 EVERETT that the City recognizes the very important work which local <br /> 20 agencies do in serving the children of our community and supports the <br /> 21 efforts of the Children's Funding Alliance in securing funds through fund <br /> 22 raising events and other means to support the programs of its members. <br /> 23 <br /> 4 <br /> 24 <br /> OW-Le OG <br /> 25Counci Introducing Resolution <br /> 4.4 <br /> 26 PASSED and APPROVED this �� day of Tokegi _. ,,�,. . ,+ , 1987. <br /> 27 9 <br /> / A <br /> 28 � i..� <br /> ou ci .-s •ent <br /> 29 (2458) <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
