CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION NO.a9dY45) <br /> A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Everett, Washington <br /> declaring its intention to order the enlargement of the boundary <br /> line of L.I.D. 716a for the improvement of 3rd Avenue south of <br /> Everett Mall Way and the signal at 3rd Avenue and Everett Mall Way <br /> to assess the cost of L.I.D. 716a to all the properties specially <br /> benefitted by L.I.D. 716a, and setting a date of hearing on the <br /> boundary enlargement. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT, <br /> WASHINGTON, as follows: <br /> Section 1: RCW 35.43.040 provides that the legislative authority <br /> of a City may order a local improvement district. <br /> Section 2: The City of Everett, by Ordinance Number 1185-85 <br /> created Local Improvement District Number 716a. The Ordinance set the <br /> boundary line of L.I.D. Number 716a, which boundary at the time of formation <br /> encompassed all properties expected to be benefitted by the improvements <br /> ordered by L.I.D. 716a. <br /> Section 3: The boundary line set by Ordinance Number 1185-85 no <br /> longer encompassed all properties benefitted by improvements ordered by L.I.D. <br /> 716a. <br /> Section 4: It is the intention of the City Council of the City of <br /> Everett, Washington, to enlarge the boundary of L.I.D. 716a to include <br /> property described in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated by <br /> reference herein, based on special benefits confired by the construction of <br /> those improvements installed on L.I.D. 716a. <br /> Section 5: The total estimated cost and expense of the improvement <br /> is now declared to be $898,451 and the entire cost and expense of such <br /> improvement shall be borne by, and assessed against the property specially <br /> benefitted by such improvement to be included in a local improvement district <br /> established embracing as near as may be all property specially benefitted by <br /> such improvement, except any public contributions determined by City Council, <br /> if any, that may become available to help defray the cost of this improvement. <br /> Section 6: That all persons who may desire to object thereto are <br /> hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City <br /> Council to be held in the City of Everett, Washington Council Chambers at 7:00 <br /> p.m. , on the 16th day of December, 1987.
